Brief Description

This apprenticeship will include a hands on testing to component level of loudspeaker crossovers, audio amplifiers, CD players, as well as other analogue and digital audio circuits.

Qualifications Required

4 GCSE's grade A*-D / 9-3 in Maths, English, a Science and one other subject.

Vacancy Detail

This apprenticeship will include a hands on testing to component level of loudspeaker crossovers, audio amplifiers, CD players, as well as other analogue and digital audio circuits.

Working as part of a small team you would be responsible for analyzing and repairing customer equipment. There is scope for progressing to other areas of the company including research and development for the right candidate.

Tasks will include:
1/ To fault find to component level various audio equipment – including amplifiers and monitors. This will involve familiarity with circuit diagrams and competent use of soldering/de-soldering equipment.

2/To liaise with the customer and complete paperwork/administrative tasks regarding fault diagnosis, return, booking in and processing of the equipment through the Service requests process.

3/ To liaise with the factory regarding test of production equipment undertaken by Service.

4/ To liaise and assist the R&D department with one off and special build requirements.

5/ To assist with the creation of written test procedures for equipment as required.

6/ To maintain documentation and record keeping for engineering change note implementation.
