Brief Description
PCML in Sandy, Bedfordshire are looking for a Machining Technician Apprentice. You will be joining a work-based programme that delivers a package of on-the-job training. You will develop the skills, knowledge and experience to become a qualified CNC machinist within precision engineering.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths.

Vacancy Detail
PCML (Precise Component Manufacturing Ltd) are based in Sandy in Bedford they are one of the fastest growing precision engineering and manufacturing companies in the UK.
They are now looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician Apprentice to join their team.
Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will receive quality coaching and mentoring from their skilled engineers in the following areas:
Manual Machining – milling and turning.
CNC (Computer numerical control) - Machine operation and setting – milling and turning and assembly.
EDM – Electronic Discharge Machining.
You will be finishing specialisms i.e. deburring, lapping, rumbling, straight graining, ENP (Electro-nickel plating), bead blasting.
Production Engineering will consist of (CAD/ CAM) Computer Aided Design and Computer-aided manufacturing.
In this role your daily tasks will be as follows:
You will be responsible for the completion of daily work given and ensure maximum productivity is achieved.
And ensure that all produced parts are a high standard every time by using colleagues, equipment and processes that are at your disposal.
You will inspect material and end products to ensure that all quality expectations are being met and ensure general unit housekeeping is maintained.
As well as this you will ensure company standards including quality and H&S are maintained at all times.
