Brief Description
This apprenticeship will be looking to teach the right individual about the design of electrical cabinet panels, axes wiring for "Ultra Precision" machine tools and PCBs. (Wage range: £162.13 (16-17 years) - £219.11 (18-20 years) £273.06 (21+)).
Qualifications Required
GCSE Maths, Science and English at grade A-C or 9-4.
Preferred A Levels Maths, Science and/or English at grades A-D
Qualification in a technical subject is required such as Engineering, or Design Technology.

The qualifications you will study to achieve will depend on your chosen pathway, and include:
NVQs (work-based learning)
•Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma
•Engineering Maintenance NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma
•Fabrication and Welding Engineering NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma
•Engineering Technical Support NVQ Level 3 Extended Diploma.
Technical Certificates (classroom-based learning)
•Fabrication and Welding Engineering Technology Level 3 Diploma
•EAL Engineering Technology Level 3 Diploma.

Future Prospects
After successful completing the Engineering Apprenticeship you could potentially continue your career and studies to become Electrical Design Engineer then later Electrical Design Supervisor.

Vacancy Detail
This apprenticeship will be looking to teach the right individual about the design of electrical cabinet panels, axes wiring for "Ultra Precision" machine tools and PCBs.
General duties of this position will include (but not be limited to):
Design layout of electrical components on machine cabinet panels.
Design machine wiring.
Select wire and cables using EN and ISO standards.
Produce parts lists and machine wiring diagrams.
Collate machine electrical technical files.
Assist Project Managers and Engineers with customer demonstrations.
Supply design files for Project Design Engineers.
Electrical component, cable and connector stock ordering.
Electronic circuit and PCB circuit design.
Machine cabinet panels build and wire.
Machine axes wiring.
