Vacancy Detail
If you are interested in accuracy then a career in calibration could be for you. Calibration is the verification of a measuring tool.
In this role you will undertake the repair and calibration of electronic measuring equipment.
This role is mainly working on a computer within the workshop. You will occasionally work off site when required.
We all calibrate items at home such as setting the correct time against the radio or television. Just imagine the accuracy needed for machines and highly complicated devices in industry, if they were not calibrated then they would not be efficient.
You will be responsible for the calibration and repair of both electronic and mechanical measuring devices. The calibration of digital multimeters and also clamp metres, thermometer equipment, pressure metres, light metres and scales.
In time you will progress to more complex instruments within the company.
With a salary of £225 per week and a nice early finish every Friday.
Other Information
A large amount of time is spent working on a computer, but there is occasional work on machines.
*The college will be closed between the 24th December and 3rd January, so applications made within these dates will be reviewed on our return.*
