Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Apex Security Engineering Solutions is a diverse organisation, working throughout the UK, serving Government, Military and other public sector clients as well as defence, industrial and many commercial customers. Apex has over 50 years specialist experience delivering highly tailored and bespoke security solutions for Government Departments, MOD and local authorities as well as a multitude of commercial, healthcare and public service organisations. They have a long-standing team of over 40 experts, many of whom have been with the company since being established.

The successful apprentice will be required to understand in detail the CAD (Computer Aided Design) process from 2D drawing to full 3D working models, translate customers’ requirements into manufacturing requirements and work through the complete manufacturing process. You will also speak to customers to discuss requirements or resolve any issues, ensuring that quality/material yield and costs meet the original quotation and follow the specific Health & Safety procedures required within the role. The role will be split 50% in the office and 50% in the workshop.
