They are looking for a practical and detail-oriented individual to join their technical laboratory. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a long-term career as a skilled, multi-disciplinary Calibration Engineer with Industrial Calibration Ltd. You will receive comprehensive training to calibrate a wide range of test and measurement equipment across electrical, mechanical, pressure and temperature disciplines.
The role is primarily laboratory-based at their facility in Kempston, with only occasional travel to customer sites. Full training will be provided on their calibration processes, industry standards and specialist calibration software, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with a practical mindset who enjoys working with their hands and has an interest or hobby in electronics, mechanics or engineering.
As a Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for calibrating customer equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant British Standards. You will accurately record measurement results and produce detailed calibration certificates using their specialist software. The role will also involve identifying and carrying out basic repairs to instrumentation, as well as cleaning, inspecting and labelling equipment to ensure it meets their high standards before being returned to customers. You will also assist with the general maintenance, organisation and upkeep of the calibration laboratory.

They would also welcome candidates with an interest or hobby in electronics, such as building PCs, wiring or repairing equipment, or experience using mechanical measuring equipment such as micrometres and callipers. A full UK driving licence would also be beneficial but not essential.
