Brief Description
Are you looking for a brick laying career with a difference? Rutland & Costwold Building Contractors in Uppingham are looking for two apprentices to learn all about masonry restoration, repointing and rebuilds, working on conversions and much more. You will gain a qualification and work alongside skilled architects and draftsman.
Qualifications Required
It is essential that the successful candidate has a minimum GCSE Level 3 and above in English and Maths.

Vacancy Detail
Rutland & Cotswold is a small business based in Uppingham in the County of Rutland.
They are a small family business with over 30 years experience.
They are CSCS registered as Heritage Skills Stonemason Fixers and are fully insured.
Rutland & Cotswold mainly complete all types of Masonry work and plastering including New Builds, Barn Conversions, Extensions and Garden Walls. They take pride in all of their projects from the smallest 2 bedroom house to the larger 9 bedroom Ashlar stone house.
How would you feel being part of this team? They offer masonry and plastering services to all main contractors or a full service, from helping with planning etc to handing the keys over to a private client.
You will work alongside a good, enthusiastic, energetic team with vast experience to accommodate client’s needs and wishes; you will work closely with architects, planning, draftsmen, building control, NHBC and HSE.
In the role you will learn about masonry restoration, repointing and rebuilds., conversions of barns, retaining walls, lime mortar, mixing of cements and mortars.
This employer is willing to teach all skills required as part of the role. What is important is your attitude to working consistently alongside a skilled team. They work with heritage buildings and being prepared to deliver high quality work for discerning customers is key.
You will need be able to get to Uppingham for this apprenticeship.
