Brief Description

Are you looking to start a career as an Engineering and Mechanical Support Technician? Newtech Intelligent Automation Ltd in Sharnbrook, are looking for an apprentice to join the electrical team. The role offers hands-on experience in panel building, wiring, installations, and design support, while developing essential practical engineering skills.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths (Science GCSE grade 4 would be an advantage but not essential).

As an Engineering and Mechanical Support Technician Apprentice, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in panel building, wiring, installations, and design support, while working alongside skilled engineers in a modern manufacturing environment and developing essential engineering skills.

This role is ideal for someone with an interest in engineering who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is keen to build a career in advanced manufacturing. Previous experience using hand tools, good hand-eye coordination, and a mechanical aptitude would be beneficial; however, no prior industry experience is required, as full training and support will be provided.

This apprenticeship offers the opportunity to develop a career within the electrical and engineering team, gaining experience in panel building, wiring, installation, and design. Over time, there may also be opportunities to progress into other areas of the business, including installation, service and support, and software and controls.

Please consider your travel arrangements before applying, as the workplace has limited access to public transport. Having your own transport or the ability to drive would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
