Brief Description
Are you looking to start a career as a Mechanical Fitter? Newtech Intelligent Automation Ltd in Sharnbrook, are looking for an apprentice to learn and assist in the mechanical build of complete machinery and various sub-assemblies, working from engineering drawings and assemblies.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths (Science GCSE grade 4 would be an advantage but not essential).

Newtech Intelligent Automation Ltd is an Alcumus SafeContractor-accredited specialist in the design and manufacture of high-performance automation equipment for the food and beverage industry. Based in Sharnbrook, the company is committed to delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative machinery that meets the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
As a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience building and assembling bespoke automated machinery and mechanical sub-assemblies, while working alongside skilled engineers in a modern manufacturing environment. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will learn how to interpret engineering drawings, use a wide range of tools and equipment, and develop the practical skills required to produce high-quality machinery to exacting standards.
This role is ideal for someone with an interest in mechanical engineering who enjoys practical, hands-on work and is keen to develop a career in advanced manufacturing. Previous experience using hand tools, good hand-eye coordination, and a mechanical aptitude would be beneficial, but no prior industry experience is required as full training and support will be provided.
This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within Newtech's manufacturing team. On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to progress into permanent roles within manufacturing or develop your career further in areas such as Service Engineering or Mechanical Design.

Please consider your travel arrangements before applying, as the workplace has limited access to public transport. Having your own transport or the ability to drive would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
