Vacancy Detail
Irthlingborough Nursery and Infant School are looking for a Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join their team. They need someone who has a genuine interest in working with young children in Early Years or Key Stage 1, and is willing to learn how to support children with Special Educational Needs.
The school need someone who values children’s personal, social and emotional development as much as their academic progress.
In this role you will develop your understanding of the EYFS and KS1 curriculum and show a commitment to helping pupils build their social and communication skills.

You will be required to work 30 hours 25 mins per week Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. Daily hours are 8:45 am – 3:20 pm with 30 minutes for lunch. Please note that holidays cannot be taken in term time, but an allowance for holiday entitlement is paid accordingly.
College attendance will be once a week at the Kettering Tresham College Campus which will begin in February 2026.
