Brief Description

Are you looking for an Engineer Technician Apprenticeship? If so then Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard are looking for you. You will be working within an engineering machine shop environment of a world leading manufacturer of aircraft interiors.

Qualifications Required

The ideal candidate will have GCSE grade 9-4 (A* - C) or equivalent in maths and English.

Collins Aerospace in Leighton Buzzard are enabling hybrid-electric propulsion for more fuel-efficient flights, creating lighter-weight, higher-performing structures to decrease maintenance, reducing pilot workload with more autonomous operations and so much more.

This is a very exciting opportunity to become an Engineer Technician Apprentice where you will shadow all departments of this company to gain a full understanding of everything they do and work alongside very experienced engineers.

You will be learning and obtaining an extensive knowledge in the fundamentals of engineering in a manufacturing environment. You will learn all about CNC (Computerized Numerical Control) You will also learn the companies principles of the manufacture of machined components to customer specifications, from various aerospace standard materials using a wide range of manual and CNC machinery.

You will learn all aspects of the companies machining and manufacturing process, working in all areas and contribute to team targets and projects whilst gaining an understanding of engineering drawings.

The company will also pay for your public travel expenses to work and college until you are able to drive yourself.

The hours may change depending on the needs of the business or the requirement to facilitate training.

Public transport costs to work and college will be paid by the employer.

You will attend Bedford College.
