Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organisation, project management, policies, relevant regulations, stakeholders, processes and external environment factors.

There are a number of career development opportunities at PBIC from reception and administration to an adviser. PBIC provides careers advice and support for clients so if there are no suitable vacancies at the end of the apprenticeship period we will support the apprentice to apply for other employment.

Vacancy Detail

PBIC is a local charity working with migrants from Eastern Europe who have settled in Bedford, mostly Polish, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Romanian. All services are provided free of charge and include general advice such as welfare benefits, careers advice and support to gain a job, English (ESOL) classes, support with settled status, a listening support service, volunteer support and social activities. They have a busy reception and assessment area and see approximately 3,000 people each year.

The role will be based in their busy reception which will include meeting and greeting customers, booking appointments with the appropriate PBIC adviser, produce accurate records and documents including emails, letters, reports, proposals and notes of meetings, make and take payments, attend meetings, make and take telephone calls and emails, promote information on social media and organise meetings and events.
