Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths.
Level 2 AAT qualification is desirable (in order to start on the Level 3 Apprenticeship) but no essential if you are applying for the Level 2.

Training to be Provided

During this apprenticeship, you will study the following topics: General business, understanding your organization, accounting systems, basic accounting, ethical standard, IT systems, communication and team working.
On completion of the apprenticeship, you will have achieved a Level 2 Accounts / Finance Assistant apprenticeship and an AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2).

Future Prospects

Accounts Receivable Assistant or Accounts Payable Assistant role in the bpha Financial Services Team should be available at the end of the apprenticeship.

Part of the role will include: settlement of utility bills, daily bank postings and reconciliations, review of supplier statements, matching purchase invoices for payment and rejecting invalid invoices.
