Brief Description
Have you ever been curious about how glass products are made? Are you artistic and do you enjoy designing products? Have you ever considered a role in Engineering? Optimum Glass based in Bedford are looking for an apprentice to join their glass processing department, responsible for producing high quality bespoke glass products.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths

Vacancy Detail
Optimum Glass Services are a leading manufacturer in creating high quality glass products. Working from their Bedford site, Optimum Glass Services manufacture, supply and install an extensive range of high-quality glass products for their many commercial and residential customers. The overall portfolio of products include staircases, doors and screens, bath and shower enclosures, mirrors and shelving and even Juliet balconies.
During your apprenticeship, you will work in Optimum's glass processing department. You will have the opportunity to convert customer designs into CAD drawings and from this, convert the CAD drawing into a machine drawing and eventually see the finished product. You will also import files into the CNC machinery and assist with loading and positioning raw glass panels. Through this, you will gain vital engineering experience and also learn how to safely manually handle glass products.
Other Information
In order to be considered for this vacancy, you must be 18 years old or above due to health and safety requirements. You must also be comfortable with heavy lifting.
