Vacancy Detail
Twiflex Ltd are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice where you will receive practical training and theoretical knowledge through day release at college to become a fully skilled and qualified precision engineer. This is an ideal opportunity to start your career in engineering for a global leader in power transmission.
The mechanical engineering apprenticeship is designed for the apprentice to acquire all the skills and knowledge to become fully qualified as a multi flexible operator across the entire production unit.
To acquire the practical skills they will spend periods of time in each cell of machines and work along side skilled machinists to learn the principle of each process. The machine tools will include CNC lathes and machining centres, both horizontal and vertical.
You will be running CNC machines which require programs to operate and you will be trained to understand the programs and be able to read them from the machines screen.
To understand the product range there is also opportunities to work in the assembly areas to learn how the parts they have manufactured form part of the final products being delivered to the customer.
To gain the necessary theoretical knowledge one day per week is spent at college which will also involve practical workshop sessions, leading to a recognised qualification.
