Brief Description
The role involves the testing and repair of home oxygen therapy equipment. Based at our Filling Plant in Bedford you will be performing troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs on various items of medical equipment and associated HP O2 plant.

The centre’s primary function is to repair, refurbish and prepare equipment and accessories for use at patients’ homes.
The Service Centre technician will have the responsibility for the day to day processing, fault finding, repair, refurbishment and testing of medical equipment and accessories. A plan of required equipment for repairing/refurbishment will be provided by the team leader to ensure that the equipment output matches the needs of the business.
Time served Electro Mechanical engineering skills.
NVQ Level 3 or Level 4.
Hands on role with ample scope for initiative and ability to work and contribute within a small team of Technicians.
Reliable with time management skills.
Interest in various aspects of servicing, repairs on O2 home therapy equipment ie O2 concentrators, cylinder valves but also on filling plant equipment associated with the filling of HP cylinders.
Responsible.

Ability to listen and work in a small team.
Training by 3rd party suppliers of Concentrators eg Devilbiss and Invacare,
also cylinder valve manufacturers GCE and cryogenic vessel manufacturers Chart - Caire
Initially some exposure to other areas of company including Gatwick and Stirling for familiarisation.
No shift work.
The vacancy will work within the Service Centre within the Bedford Filling plant facility and the work will be both hands on of a practical nature plus interfacing with our web based quality system via PDA's and desktops.
Qualifications: Suggested NVQ Level 3 or 4
