Brief Description

Echo Packaging are looking for an enthusiastic engineering apprentice to join their small, friendly engineering team. You will be working for one of the leading plastic packaging manufacturers within the industry, being trained in maintaining their machinery.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally have GCSE at grades 9-4 (A*-C) in English and maths or equivalent. A basic understanding of engineering is desirable but not essential.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship the employer would like to offer you permanent employment with the company with a competitive salary.
You will also be funded to receive full training for HNC or other advanced qualification.

Vacancy Detail

Part of your duties will be to-

Support the Maintenance team to maintain and repair all machinery onsite
Work on a range of machines from Blown Film Extruders to Flexographic Printing Press
Help prevent the breakdown of new complex machines
Maintain a number of recycling and conversion machines
Train with a team of experienced engineers to achieve your full potential and enable you to help train others
Be part of a team who receive specialised training in the use and repair of these more complex machines
Maintain the general fabric of the factory buildings
Keep stock levels under control
Help to keep areas tidy to maintain high health and safety standards
