Brief Description

The successful candidate will gain experience within all departments to understand how the business operates and how AGE UK work together. You will complete general administration tasks, assist with telephony and maintain records and statistics using the company's internal databases.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of 4 GCSE's (or equivalent) at grades 9-4 (A*-C) including maths and English.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Fuctional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, Record and document production, Decision making, Planning and organisation, Project management, Policies, Relevant regulations, Stakeholders, Processes and external environment factors.

Future Prospects

Following successful completion of the apprenticeship we would offer a permanent contract, dependent on how the business is performing.

The apprentice will work with colleagues to have a complete understanding of how a business works successfully and play an active part in the ongoing success of the business.
All general administration tasks will include:
Typing letters, documents and filing (both manually and electronically).
Communication with staff, volunteers and others via the telephone, face to face, email, memo or letter.
Assisting in maintaining records and statistics on our internal databases.
Assisting with switchboard cover as and when required.
Attending staff meetings and training sessions.
To work in accordance with all of Age UK Bedfordshire’s policies and procedures.
To work as part of the organisational team and help out in times of emergency.
To undertake other tasks as may be required from time to time.
