K2 Limited in Sandy are looking for a motivated and reliable apprentice to join their manufacturing team and develop a career in CNC punch press operation and general sheet metal fabrication.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in engineering and manufacturing and wants to gain practical, hands-on experience while working towards an apprenticeship qualification.

Key Responsibilities
You will learn and assist with:
Operating CNC punch press machinery safely and efficiently, loading and unloading sheet metal and preparing materials for production, reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications. Measuring, marking out and checking components to ensure accuracy, cutting, forming, bending and fabricating sheet metal components.
Using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment, carrying out basic quality checks on finished components, assembling sheet metal parts and components and maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area.
Following company health and safety procedures and supporting experienced members of the production team with general workshop duties.

Training & Development;
Full training will be provided on CNC machinery, sheet metal fabrication, engineering drawings, measuring equipment, workshop practices and health and safety.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and fabricators while developing the practical and technical skills required for a career in the engineering and sheet metal industry.
