An employee in this occupation will be responsible for the safe handling of goods and the accuracy of putting stock away in the correct locations and the accuracy of picking products in accordance with the orders received. This may include the packing of goods and ensuring product is not damaged. In a small operation they may be responsible for the whole process of incoming goods, storage and outgoing orders. They may be required to operate different forms of mechanical handling equipment such as fork lift trucks, cranes, pallet trucks and reach trucks. They should operate all equipment in a safe manner and be aware of any specific regulations which may apply to the products handled.

We would look to offer any successful candidate a full time position within the business at the end of the apprenticeship. Opportunities range from stepping up in the Warehouse/Goods department to the potential of becoming part of the fleet as a driver or even join the busy office team and further your skills in logistics and haulage.

They offer an around the clock service and are on hand any time, any day, all year round. They are committed to getting it right every time.
STL are looking for the right candidate to join their fast growing logistics company based in Broom, on the outskirts of Biggleswade.
The role will include; Loading/Offloading vehicles, picking & repackaging products/pallets, housekeeping, conducting stock checks, stock control - keeping all goods recorded in and out and replenishing stock locations
Forklift training will be provided to the right candidate. All forklift duties will take place in our secure yard, meaning 16 years+ age is suitable for this role.
They are situated remotely, so access to transport would be preferred but not essential if the candidate it local.
There is parking on site & access to secure bicycle/motorbike parking available. 60 minute break with on-site kitchen facilities available for all staff use. On site toilets and shower facilities are also available to all staff members.
