Brief Description
Timsons Engineering in Kettering are looking for two Foundry Moulder Engineering Apprentices to join their team. You will also achieve your engineering qualification whilst learning how to produce moulds and cores, learn about different moulding techniques and operate machinery.
Qualifications Required
You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D), including English, maths and science, or equivalent.

Vacancy Detail
Timsons Engineering in Kettering are looking for two apprentices to join their team.
Your duties will include the following:
To produce moulds and cores using boxed and boxless moulding techniques.
To operate sand mixing machinery and understand principles of chemical technology.
To learn and understand the principles of running and feeding systems and apply this to the moulding process to ensure sound castings.
You will form part of the casting team and assist with the movement of molten metal and the casting of moulds and understand the basic principles of metallurgy.
You will learn how to operate all relevant measuring equipment.
You will also learn how to understand engineering drawings relevant to the process.
Working a 37.5 hour week, plus overtime when available.
