Qualifications Required
The ideal candidate will have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and math's.

Vacancy Detail
Avica Aerospace Ducting also known as Leggett & Platt Aerospace Dunstable design and manufacture Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and bleed air ducting systems for their customers within the aerospace industry. The Leggett & Platt engineering group has over 60 years of experience in designing, testing, and qualifying pneumatic ducting components and systems.
Avica Aerospace (Dunstable) facility specialises is high temperature, high pressure metallic ducting, flexible joints, bellows and braided hoses for the space, aerospace and marine platforms.
So what will you be learning?
You will shadow experienced Welding Engineers and Test Technicians.
You will learn about welding and qualification testing principles for metallic ducting systems for aerospace and space applications.
You will learn how to build and commission test rigs.
In addition to learning how to inspect and interpret welds.
You will support developing welding techniques and processes.
Other Information
The job will be shop floor based in the laboratory, there is possible overtime offered. You will be given full training on specific welding processes and approvals. Candidates must carry out an initial interview with a member of the Bedford College Apprenticeship Recruitment Team.
