Brief Description

Do you want to learn a trade? Have you thought about becoming a bricklayer? Do you want to be a part of building projects? Dixon & Sons are looking for an apprentice to join their team.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Dixon & Sons Construction Limited get involved with a wide variety of construction projects in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. Their work includes new builds, extensions, bricklaying and groundworks, carpentry, hard landscaping and driveways.

So what will you be Learning?

You will be setting up the working area and selecting appropriate tools.

You will carry out basic trade instructions.

How to read and interpret drawings

You will work in a team with other trades and learn about different types of construction methods including fireplaces and chimneys.

You will be working within Health and Safety Policies and regulations.
