Brief Description
Metal Craft in Wellingborough are looking for an apprentice who will become an all-round highly skilled individual in welding and fabrication and machining, willing to learn, and get stuck in. An individual with a genuine enthusiasm for engineering.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in maths and English.

Metal Craft in Wellingborough are looking for a Sheet Metal Apprentice to join them.
If you have artistic talents, you will enjoy working with many products which are not only useful but are used in the wider community. If you like working with your hands, you will use hand tools, operate manufacturing equipment, which manufactures display, food preparation, equipment, vehicle parts, laboratory as well as various artistic sculptures.
If you have ambitions to become a supervisor, a foreman, or a future running your own business, you will have a real challenge in the problems of design, material flow.
Metal Craft have Lasers, flat and tubular, CNC punching, brakes presses, inserters, welding, metal polishing, tube bending, powder coating and billeting.
A sheet metal apprentice is not just a title; it's a commitment to learning, growing, and mastering a craft. So you will be:
Fabricating and welding
Reading and interpreting drawings
Operating a variety of machinery and tools
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations
Working in an engineering environment - a sheet metal apprentice works in diverse settings, from machine shop, CNC welding and fabrication, metal polishing, welding, TIG and MIG to finishing powder coating. Like all jobs in engineering it often involves some physical labour and requires adherence to safety protocols.
At Metal Craft even as you finish your apprenticeship the learning never stops. Sheet metal workers often pursue additional qualifications and specialisations to enhance your skills and employability.
