Brief Description

Are you looking for a career as a Teaching Assistant? Lakeview School in Wixams, Bedford are looking for 2 apprentices to join their team. You will be developing the educational, personal and social needs of pupils in order to support their learning and development and to ensure their safety.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) or equivalent in English and maths.

Vacancy Detail

Lakeview School in Wixams, Bedfordshire are looking for two Teaching Assistants to join them.

You will help to add value to teaching and learning in the school by undertaking educational activities, which support pupil learning and progress. And you will develop the educational, personal and social needs of pupils in order to support their learning and development.

You will work under the guidance and direction of the Headteacher, SENDCo and the class teacher to implement agreed work programmes and intervention strategies in the classroom, and also assist the class teacher in evaluating their impact.

In this role you will work with class teachers to support effective planning to meet the needs of all children in the classroom. And develop an agreed specialism to support an identified area of need in the school and, support colleagues in development of practice in this area.

As well as this you will provide teaching of small groups, as and when required.

You will also carry out assessments of children.

College attendance will be at Bedford College and day release will begin in February 2024.
