On successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is a potential for a full time role and to eventually move on to a higher role such as Senior Workshop Technician, Powered Access Specialist, Lead Engineer or even Workshop Manager.
Vacancy Detail
THX Ltd are a company located in Bedford who operate throughout the UK. THX class themselves as the tool hire experts for specialist contractors. They provide a comprehensive range of premium branded tools and equipment, alongside expert hire advice for their customers. The products THX hire out range from cement mixers, site electrics and ground equipment to industrial cleaning equipment and heating.
As an Engineering Operative, you will mainly be responsible for inspecting, cleaning and testing hire equipment before returning items to the warehouse. You will learn various inspecting and testing techniques, including PAT Testing. You will also be responsible for servicing and repairing items before they go out for hire. Alongside this, you will also be able to communicate with customers and external suppliers.
You will also have the opportunity to support the warehouse and workshop teams, where required.
Through this apprenticeship you will gain fantastic exposure to all sorts of equipment and machinery, which will benefit you for the rest of your career. Other Information
Must be able to travel to and from the Bedford depot.
Please note, this is a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship. If you have already completed your Level 2 or 3 in Engineering, you would be overqualified for this apprenticeship.
