Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals, Functional Skills in English and maths (if required). You will also study a range of topics including: Consultation, Shampooing and conditioning hair and scalp, Styling and finishing hair, Colouring, Cutting, Perming
Future Prospects
On completion of apprenticeship, there will be a prospect of working full time onto the salon floor, building a client column.
Vacancy Detail
Michael Joseph Hair & Beauty pride themselves working with the finest brands in the business, such as Schwarzkopf, Olaplex and Nano Keratin.
Training will be provided within the salon, and a day release at college.
Working alongside a strong team of talented hair stylists, learning the day to day salon life, the apprentice's role will include meeting and greeting customers, maintaining the salon appearance, making refreshments, preparing stylist's workstations and equipment and observing stylists. You will learn how to shampoo and apply conditioning treatments, learn about hair and scalp conditions, removal of colours, neutralizing perms. You will also cut hair using a range of techniques and any other tasks deemed suitable under supervision.

*Please note that the college attendance will start in September, but there is an opportunity to start working before this time*
Must have the ability to travel to and from work and college.
Must have the availability to work Saturdays as this is a definite working day.
