Brief Description

How would you like to to learn all aspects of painting and decorating to achieve a high standard of craftsmanship with Prestige Homeseeker and Park Homes in Rushden?
You will get to work alongside a skilled painter and decorator in all phases of work associated with that trade.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths.

- Level 2 Painter and Decorator Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)

You will also study a range of topics, including: Erect and dismantle access equipment and working platforms , Prepare surfaces for decoration , Apply paint systems by brush and roller, Apply standard papers to ceilings and walls, Produce specialist decorative finishes

Vacancy Detail

The employer is looking for four apprentices to join them. In this role you will be learning all aspects of painting and decorating to achieve a high standard of craftsmanship and gain the highest standards possible to continue ongoing development.

You will work alongside a skilled painter and decorator in order to gain knowledge and understanding of the range of equipment, tools and materials relevant to the trade and perform manual labour duties associated with the trade. You will learn all about good housekeeping standards, including cleaning tools and equipment.

You will gain a good understanding of the principles of painting in this role by cutting, pasting and hanging paper, painting walls and ceilings with emulsions, filling and prepping woodwork, second coating walls with emulsion, undercoat and topcoat woodwork, architrave, skirting and touch ups and snags, wallpaper repairs.
