Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Vacancy Detail

The apprentice will work within the installations & manufacturing department as well as other area’s including: stores, control panel manufacturing, mechanical assembly departments. Part of the role will include performing a variety of technical duties to ensure the aviation product range is compliant with best practice, assist in the build and testing of critical infrastructure security systems, work in a production team and deliver manufacturing requests to meet department demands. You will also be trained on how to perform assembly tasks, wire electrical control cabinets and understand GA drawings and electrical documentation.

The wage will increase to £19,000.00pa in the second year and £22,000.00pa in the third year. Other staff benefits include: wellness programmes, income protection, paid leave, reduced gym membership, private health care and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

The successful candidate will to be able to obtain DBS clearance for Airport Airside access.
