Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organisation, project management, policies, relevant regulations, stakeholders, processes and external environment factors.

Future Prospects

A potential permanent job working for the Town Council in Events, PR and administration.
Prospects beyond that exist, but will depend on interest in a variety of different opportunities.

Vacancy Detail

Newport Pagnell Town Council is a local government organisation serving local residents, primarily in the areas of recreation and planning.

The apprentice will assist with planning and managing events, communicate with local retailers, manage social media posts and general administration for the Town Council Offices. Part of the role will also include working on the reception service at the front desk offering customer service, answering telephone calls, emails and letters from customers with a high level of customer care. In addition, the apprentice will log and direct customer enquiries to the appropriate service area or organisation.

Other Information

Candidates need to be able to travel to Newport Pagnell- there is no travelling to Bedford needed.
