Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Future Prospects

For the right candidate there would be an opportunity to learn how to programme and set and and run pressbrake folding machines and learn to Tig weld if it was desired. There could also be an opportunity to train in the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software should the candidate wish.

Vacancy Detail

Based in Bedford and with over 30 years experience, Seeco UK Ltd are a high precision welding and fabricating company, specialising in sheet metal engineering. They specialise in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) laser and punch cutting.

The apprentice will be trained in the use and programming of a laser and hole punch workshop machinery. Part of the role will include calibration checks, running laser/punch cycles or combinations of both, off loading and general maintenance in order to keep the machine in good and safe working order. Training will also be provided on other aspects of sheet metal work such as handling and de-burring, graining, spot welding and pull setting and general sheet metalwork duties, all whilst learning about and adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Other Information

The wage will increase to £12,740.00 after the first year
