Brief Description

Are you hoping to begin your career in Engineering? Prosaw Limited are looking for a Workshop Engineer Apprentice based at their factory in Kettering.
You will learn a variety of skills with Prosaw who have nearly 60 years’ experience and a range of sawing machines, steelworkers and metal forming equipment.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths.

Vacancy Detail

The successful candidate will learn and develop skills in mechanics, electrics and hydraulics. You will also be trained in fault finding. You will carry out assembly and the pre-delivery inspection of equipment. You will also carry out servicing and the repair of a wide range of industrial saws.

Your role will include working with a team of skilled people in the workshop where you will use equipment such as the mill, lathe, pillar drill, belt sander, grinder and a surface grinder. You will also carry out welding and use the CNC (Computer numerical control) machining centre using many different hand held electric tools.

There will be overtime available.
Company bonus scheme dependant on trading results.
