Brief Description

Are you hoping to begin a career in business? Nickerson Europe in Corby are looking for two Business Administration Apprentices to join their busy sales team and involve themselves in all aspects of the day to day running of the business.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organisation, project management, policies, relevant regulations, stakeholders, processes and external environment factors.

Future Prospects

Promotion to more senior roles in one of the administration disciplines such as sales, purchasing, finance on successful completion of your apprenticeship.

Vacancy Detail

Nickerson Europe in Corby is a manufacturing business supplying services to plastics manufacturers. They have engineering and wholesale facilities at their Corby base where they distribute approximately 8,000 product lines. They specialise in manufacturing and supplying spares, parts and consumables, often to customers' bespoke requirements.

You will be part of their sales team, based in the office and working alongside the other admin teams such as purchasing and finance and sales. This will ensure you gain experience in most aspects of the day to day running of the business.
The role will involve processing sales orders received by telephone and email and the website using Sage 50. You will learn how to submit quotes to customers and analyse sales using Excel to plan purchasing and pricing, you will also submit quotes to customers. You will liaise with the all departments to prioritise production to customers' requirements and learn about all aspects of the running of the business.

Other Information

Plastic Moulding Supplies was until very recently a family owned business and retains that feel. Many current team members started as an apprentice or have been with the business for many years. It is the leading business in the UK in the Plastics MRO sector and the new owners own other similar businesses in Europe and the US and intend to establish themselves as the leading investor in this sector.
