Brief Description

Are you hoping to begin a career in engineering? This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in welding and fabrication. You will be working with the production of heavy haulage trailers for King Trailers in Market Harborough.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths

Vacancy Detail

King Trailers are based in Market Harborough. They design, manufacture and service bespoke and standard trailers and plant body trucks to all market sectors and they are looking for a Fabricator Engineer Apprentice to join their team.

The successful candidate will be welding and fabricating light, medium and heavy gauge steel within specified tolerances and standards. You will learn to have proficiency with fabrication tools, including, welding sets, plasma cutting tools, flame cutting tools, grinders and disc cutters. You will learn to understand and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

As a fabricator you will be constructing and welding trailer structures from detailed engineering drawings for customers such as the military, nuclear and civils contractors. This role will involve working with a variety of sizes and grades of carbon steel.

The working week for this position is Monday to Thursday, allowing for a three day weekend for the successful candidate!
