Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Civil Engineering Technician Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)

You will also study a range of topics, including: construction and the built environment, further mathematics in construction, science and materials, construction technology and design, surveying in construction and civil engineering and structural analysis and design.

Future Prospects

This apprenticeship role will enable the successful candidate to work within the field of civil, structural and geotechnical engineering design. A great start in the industry, it will open doorways to further study – perhaps a HNC and engineering degree.

Vacancy Detail

Tony Gee are a Civil Engineering company who provide design services and advice to construction clients on projects all over the world. These projects could be in different sectors including: rail, bridge and building construction, marine, highways, power, commercial and industrial.

Working as a Civil Engineering apprentice, you will be working as a technician within one or more of the company’s design teams involved in delivering projects across a variety of construction sectors. Key parts of the role will include the production of CAD drawings, preparation of calculations, supporting the administration of projects, meeting agreed deadlines and maintaining drawing registers.

Other Information

This is an office based opportunity. There will be some exposure to site work but from a consultancy viewpoint.
