Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Vacancy Detail

Crosby Composites are looking for a Composite Trimmer Apprentice at their Wellingborough site. Crosby Composites designs and manufactures complex high-quality carbon fibre parts. Customers range from Formula 1 and motorsports teams,

You will be provided with in-depth training and appointed your own mentor to help you in detail when working on jobs. You will be trained step by step to ensure that your quality is the best that it can be.

You will be trimming down parts that have come out of the auto clave (an oven that essentially cooks the carbon fibre material to make the solid part) You will also be ensuring that parts are neatened, tidied up and ready to go out to the inspection department. As well as this it will be your responsibility to check for high quality before anything goes to customers. You will need to ensure that workplace safety is practiced at all times and that you maintain a clean and safe working environment.

This is a very physical job, working with tools.
