Brief Description

CP Automation Ltd have an exciting opportunity for an Applications and Technical Support Engineer Apprentice to join their team in Bedford. The successful applicant will be working alongside a team of experienced and highly trained Engineers, who provide customers with both in-house and on-site product servicing.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-4 (A*- C) in English, maths and science or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills English and maths during the programme.

Training to be Provided

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be supported by a dedicated training coordinator, who will guide you through your qualification and assist you with collecting a portfolio of evidence in readiness for your end point assessment. You will also be supported by a college tutor, who you will see on a regular basis during your college delivery days.

Vacancy Detail

CP Automation specialise in supply, repair and site service for industrial electronic boards, PLC's, AC Drivers and many more. You will be working alongside a team of experienced and highly trained Engineers, who provide customers with both in-house and on-site product servicing. You will also have the opportunity to work in a workshop that is fully equipped to rapidly identify faults and component failures, providing you with excellent learning scenarios throughout your apprenticeship.

During your role, you will be trained and expected to complete a number of tasks, including:

- Develop and review quotes for potential sales to ensure products meet customer needs
- Respond to customer requests for technical information regarding company products and their application, acting as the technical expert for the product
- Provide assistance to sales team and application engineers to address and resolve customer inquiries concerning hardware and software features, specifications and application issues
- Develop and provide customer training and site support including demonstrating company products to existing and potential customers
- Participate in marketing functions, such as trade shows, customer bulletins and website development
- Perform competitive analysis between company products and competitor products to provide "sell against" features and benefits to the sales organisation
- Complete special projects as assigned
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion and maintenance of all required paperwork, reports, records and documents
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
