Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided
Level 2 Apprenticeship in either Horticulture or Landscape Operative. Plus: Emegency First Aid at Work, Level 2 Safe use of handling and application of pesticides, Functional Skills in English & maths (if required). You will also study a range of topics to include: Health and Safety, Business Skills, Machinery, Plant and Soil Science, Plant health
Future Prospects
Potential full time gardening and landscaping position upon completion of the apprenticeship.

Garden Zone are a small company based in Milton Keynes who offer garden maintenance, lawn care, garden landscaping, fencing, patios, garden walls, decking, wooden structures and more!

The company are a small and friendly team who often go out for evening meals, takeaways and BBQ's (and there are lots of teas and biscuits offered by their friendly customers).
Part of the role will include planting, lawn care, fencing, patio work, bricklaying and you will be taught how to use a mower, strimmer, hedge cutter and blower to a high standard, and other tools as required.

*Please note that the college attendance for this will start in September 2022 but there is an opportunity to start working for the company before this time*
You would be completing a two year apprenticeship at Shuttleworth College, which you would attend one day a week.
