Brief Description

Qualifications Required

To be considered for the apprenticeship you must have grades 3-9 / A*-D in GCSE Maths and English or a Level 1 equivalent

Personal Qualities

Must have a genuine interest in hairdressing, be enthusiastic, punctual and eager to learn.

Skills Required

Good communication skills and the ability to work within team. Able to follow instructions from others.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:

Hairdressing City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Diploma

Vacancy Detail

We would like an apprentice to join our welcoming and talented team in a friendly hair and beauty salon in Bedford. It is important for you to have good communication skills and a professional manner.

Duties will include :-
* Meet and greet customers
* Maintain a clean salon
* Provide refreshments to the clients
* Reception duties, answering the phone and making bookings
* Shampoo and condition clients hair
* Prepare clients for the stylists
Personal Qualities :-
* Be well presented and organised
* Reliable and punctual
* Be willing to work 2 late evenings a week until 7.30pm and Saturdays
* Be a good communicator with a good sense of humour

You will have to attend Bedford college one day a week and four days a week in the salon.
