Apprentice Graphic Designer

We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Designer to join our small team working on exciting client projects. We work with SMEs and National Businesses and no two days are the same! You'll work with out clients from concept to final delivery.

As a Apprentice Designer at Fatz n Skillz, you'll work from a creative brief from clients, research to under- stand their needs before making design decisions and proposing solutions. Fatz n Skillz is a multi-disciple design agency, you will have the opportunity to work across web, video and traditional design projects.You’ll work on a variety of products and activities, including website design and development, video production and edit, exhibition design, display solution design, corporate communications and corporate identity.

You'll work to a brief agreed with your supervisor, client or account manager and will develop creative ideas and concepts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Taking and understanding a design brief;
• Estimating the time required to complete the work;
• Developing design concepts from the brief;
• Thinking creatively to produce ideas and concepts;
• Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time;
• Presenting finalised ideas and concepts;
• Working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies;
• Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print;
• Working as part of a team with printers, copywriters, photographers, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• knowledge of Abode Creative Cloud - in particular Illustrator, After E ects and Photoshop; • knowledge of HTML and CSS;
• knowledge or understanding of Wordpress;
• a willingness to learn and adapt to changing briefs;
• good communication skills
