Brief Description

Infinis are based in Northampton and they have an exciting opportunity for an Procurement Administration Apprentice to join their team. You will support the buying team on specific projects to learn foundational procurement skills with the intention to work towards a buying assistant grade.
You will work from the Northampton head office.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will ideally need to have GCSE grades 9-3 (A*- D) in English and maths or the ability to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills during the programme.

Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, record and document production, decision making, planning and organisation, project management, policies, relevant regulations, stakeholders, processes and external environment factors.

Future Prospects

A permanent position of Buying Assistant, subject to review and opportunity to gain Procurement exposure on successful completion of your apprenticeship.

The Procurement Administration Apprentice will be a key role within their procurement team.
Procurement management is responsible for overseeing all the processes involved in acquiring the products, materials, goods and services needed for efficient business operations.

Your main duties will be to:
• liaise with external suppliers for basic queries received into the procurement inbox under the supervision of the Back Office Clerk
• place orders within the set SLA (Service Level Agreement) for urgent requests from the business
• agree a project to run independently with support from the buying team and present to management

With the support of their buyers, you will gain experience in:
• conducting market analysis
• gathering supply base details for buyers
• preparing communications for suppliers or internal departments
• collating tender responses
• completing at least one independent project

As part of the procurement team, you will have the opportunity to evaluate work processes and make suggestions on improvements, manage the procurement inbox, and liaise with internal customers to ensure urgent order requests are actioned.

You will report to the Head of Procurement but work closely with all members of the Procurement team. You will be required to work from the Northampton head office where members of the procurement team will also be working.

Other Information

Driving License preferred for easy access to their office, but not essential.
