Vacancy Detail
The employer will provide the skills to be proficient within our Production team, to learn the skills as an Operator or Inspector working within an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) environment, AOI, Xray and NPI. The training scheme will provide a foundation for their products and customers, with the opportunity to progress to other areas within the Production team.
You will work towards the responsibility of an SMT operator who is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines including robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product.
This role will lead to the responsibility for the overall operation and care of potentially large-scale manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line. The SMT operator works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation results against predetermined tolerances.
Other Information
This position is based in Eaton Socon, the candidates must be able to get to work and Bedford college for the college release aspect of the apprenticeship.
