Brief Description
D A Decorators Ltd are looking for a painter and decorator apprentice to work along side a highly skilled team, specialising in high calibre domestic works, site works and commercial properties across Beds, Bucks and Herts.
Qualifications Required
The ideal candidate will have GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) or equivalent including English and maths.

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Painter and Decorator Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
You will also study a range of topics, including: Erect and dismantle access equipment and working platforms , Prepare surfaces for decoration , Apply paint systems by brush and roller, Apply standard papers to ceilings and walls, Produce specialist decorative finishes

After successful completion of the apprenticeship there may be a potential position within the company.

D A Decorators Ltd are looking for a painter and decorator apprentice to work along side a highly skilled team, specialising in high calibre domestic works, site works and commercial properties across Beds, Bucks and Herts. They are looking for someone who would like to learn from a top quality team, who are also involved in spraying and wall papering, use top quality equipment such as Mirka sanders and premium paint brands. D A Decorators are involved in excellent high end domestic and commercial work that work on any property, but specialise in top end decoration, with good site builders.
Main roles and responsibilities:
- Setting up of working areas
- Preparation of working surfaces – filing, rubbing, knotting, priming, stripping wallcoverings, stripping old paintwork
- To learn which products and techniques are to be used in which areas and surfaces (eg walls/woodwork, interior/exterior, new plaster/old plaster, pink/lime plaster) and for the intended finish
- Application of paint to surfaces by brush and roller
- Cleaning of tools and correctly packing away and storing
- Cleaning clients areas at the end of the day if in clients houses
