Brief Description
Deckpro Pumps supply pumps for building services in Greater London and the South East of England. The job role entails working on a varied range of pumps and associated systems on customers’ sites, whilst completing a HNC at Bedford College on day release
Qualifications Required
In order to optimise success, candidates will typically have 5 GCSE's at Grade 9-4 (A*-C), including mathematics, English and a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject, or 90+ credits in an Engineering BTEC at level 3.
(As further guidance, the level of Mathematics has an advisory GCSE level of Grade 5/6. Functional Skills at level 2 will be an essential element to achieving all elements of the apprenticeship.

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Standard
- Higher National Certificate in Engineering
- Level 2 Functional skills in English and maths (if required)
You will also study a range of topics including: engineering mathematics, electro- mechanical fundamental science, PLC and automation, pneumatic and hydraulic applications, electronic and electrical principles, mechanical principles and many more

The job role entails working on a varied range of pumps and associated systems on customers’ sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the installation, commissioning and service of submersible and surface mounted pumping equipment, along with completing service record forms for the equipment.
The primary role is to:
• Assist lead engineers with installation, repairs, troubleshooting of pumps and related equipment
• Carry our servicing and minor works
• Complete documentation and reports on JobWatch
• Maintain cleanliness and stocks in stores and vans
• Liaise with sales team and clients
• Drive to and from jobs, and deliver parts as required
