Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will ideally have GCSE at grades 9-3(A*-D) in English and maths

- Able to work at heights as you will be working on top of secure scaffolding

- Previous experience as a bricklayer or construction - not essential
- Driving license would be ideal
Training to be Provided
You will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Bricklayer Apprenticeship
- Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
Future Prospects
On successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be:
Working as a qualified tradesperson on a housebuilding development.
The top 1% of apprentices on completion may be given the opportunity to progress onto site management training.

Redrow Homes are looking for an individual who is passionate about bricklaying and other aspects of building to join as an apprentice Bricklayer. The successful candidate will need to be physically fit and have plenty of stamina for this demanding role, which will involve working indoors and outdoors.
You will:
• Set out and build brickwork, including complex arches and surrounding brickwork, curved on plan, concave and convex brickwork and battered brickwork
• Mix mortar by hand or with a mechanical mixer
• Lay the bricks on top of each other and applying the mortar with a trowel
• Shape and trim bricks/blocks using hammers, chisels and power tools. Use of laser levels, spirit levels, optical levels and string lines to check that courses are
straight, horizontally and vertically, and laid to a gauge
• Operate equipment on site in a safe manner
• Conform to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
You will be Responsible to: Area Site Manager / Site Manager/ Assistant Site Manager
