Brief Description

A new and exciting apprenticeship as a Performing Arts Administrator Apprentice is now available to apply for! The role will include providing full administrative and technical support within all areas of Performing Arts including Dance, Drama and Music.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) or equivalent including English and maths.

Personal Qualities

Eagerness to learn, be enthusiastic and helpful
A passion and interest for the Performing Arts (Drama, Dance, Music and/or film)
Empathy with children and young people

Skills Required

Good interpersonal and written communication skills
The ability to solve problems on a day to day basis
Must be organised and have good time management skills


Training to be Provided

You will gain the following qualifications:
- Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Fuctional Skills in maths and English (if required).

You will also study a range of topics, including: IT, Record and document production, Decision making, Planning and organisation, Project management, Policies, Relevant regulations, Stakeholders, Processes and external environment factors.

A new and exciting apprenticeship as a Performing Arts Administrator Apprentice is now available to apply for! The role will include providing full administrative and technical support within all areas of Performing Arts including Dance, Drama and Music. The apprentice will play a key role in assisting with the evolution of Biddenham as a vibrant Performing Arts community. The work will be divided between the three areas of performing arts.

Main duties and responsibilities:
To provide administrative assistance for all:
 Performances
 Productions
 Concerts
 Celebration Evenings
 Assemblies
 Performance Examinations

Administration duties:
 Assisting with the advertising of Performing Arts events and extra-curricular activities
 Photocopying and resource production requests
 Assisting in the organisation of trips (eg: bookings, including coaches and advertisements)
 Co-ordinate with other technicians in the school in ensuring that hall space is organised and safe for use (shared space)
 To assist with the organisation of performance recordings
 To provide assistance in designing and upgrading the Performing Arts Block (A Block)
 Log and organise all the video recordings of practical work and departmental lesson plans/ resources on the google drive
 Order, collate and catalogue drama resources, including DVDs, CDs, videos, costumes, props and technical equipment (including gantry)
 Develop display materials and assisting in updating displays, including taking photographs of lessons performances and extra-curricular activities
 Maintain equipment in the drama studio - quick sweep of all spaces including break off areas to ensure all equipment is returned to stock areas
 Collating and cataloguing dance resources, including resource packs, DVDs, CDs, videos and books
 Developing display materials and assisting in updating displays, including taking photographs of lessons, performances and extra-curricular activities
 Completing the dance studio checklist daily
 Maintaining equipment in dance areas
 Compiling and editing audio CDs for curriculum purposes
 Transfer/log recordings to google drive
 Displays; create/renew and take down old posters
 Check all instruments are accounted for and functioning; re-order parts if necessary
 To implement health, safety and COSHH regulations

To maintain and organise equipment in the Music, Drama and Dance departments:
 Create inventories
 Complete repair and maintenance schedules
