Brief Description

Humanware are looking for an apprentice to assist and support the Technical Manager in the repair and refurbishment of electronic equipment and support the companies UK and European customers in accordance with their standards and targets. This is a unique opportunity for the right person.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D) inc English, IT and maths (or equivalent)

Vacancy Detail

The successful apprentice will carry out the following duties:

• Maintenance planning
• Gain knowledge on diagnostic and fault finding techniques on electrical equipment in order to diagnose and repair
• Learn safe working practices, maintenance procedures and environmental regulations that need to be observed
• Carryout fault location on appropriate equipment using suitable maintenance diagnostic techniques
• Carryout maintenance activities in line with work instructions
• Carryout tests on the maintained equipment in accordance with test schedule/defined test procedures
• Follow appropriate completion activities and restore equipment to service by replacing or repairing components
• Produce individual components, sub-assemblies or completed assemblies using engineering maintenance techniques
• Mount and set the required work holding devices
• Follow appropriate completion activities and restore equipment/system to service after the assembly and testing has been completed
• Upgrade and load software on equipment
• Test and clean equipment before returning to customer
• To provide telephone and e-mail support to end–users and European dealers
• Assist with data input and maintain records as required
• To clean, check, test, and refurbish equipment in line with company procedures
• Maintain the technical workshop to ensure a clean and safe working environment
• Book all repairs into the company ICT system ( Great Plains )
• To enhance the reputation and image of Humanware through professional conduct and excellent service
