Brief Description
*This is for a 30 hour week*
Little Monkey’s childcare has a fantastic opportunity for a Childminding Assistant Apprentice to work in a well-established home based childminding setting. Little Monkey's are a small childminders based in New Cardington and are looking to expand their workforce and employ an apprentice.
Qualifications Required
To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 9-3 (A*-D), including English and maths, or equivalent.
Personal Qualities
We require a candidate who is patient and kind, enthusiastic and keen to learn.
Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have good timekeeping and communication skills. They must be hardworking and work well in a team.
Training to be Provided
You will gain the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required)
You will also study a range of topics, including Introducing the role of the early years practitioner, Legislation, framework and professional practice, Play, development and learning for school and Professional development

Little Monkey’s childcare has a fantastic opportunity for a Childminding Assistant Apprentice to work in a well-established home-based childminding setting. Little Monkey's are a small childminders based in New Cardington and are looking to expand their workforce and employ an apprentice.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the main childminder to help with the planning of the daily activities for the children in the setting.
Other responsibilities will include:
• Assist the childminder in welcoming the children at the start of the day
• Assist and supervise all meal and snack times
• Interact with the children, support their play and assisting with all activities
• Helping children tidy up including after messy play
• Work with the main childminder to support the children’s development
• Follow all procedures and guidance relating to the safety of the children
• General tidying up once the children have left for the day
• General admin duties including writing reports on the children
• Any other duties that may be required for the child's care at the time
