Brief Description

First Circle Packing Ltd (Nampak) are looking to recruit an engineering apprentice to help with electrical, mechanical, Hydraulic and pneumatic repairs and maintenance, fault finding on PLCs and hydraulic systems on plastic blow moulding machinery

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this role you will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C), including English, maths and science, or equivalent or a technical based subject such as engineering or product design. Alternatively you can progress from a relevant Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship programme

Vacancy Detail

You will be working with apprenticeship trained electricians and engineers at Nampak, you will attend Bedford College on day release to attain the necessary qualifications and training to make you a complete and top engineer by the end of your apprenticeship

The role will involve:
- Maintenance of manufacturing plant and equipment
- Lubrication of assets
- Turning & Milling to re-build / machine breakdown parts
- Welding
- Assisting other team members/team work
- Electrical / mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Supporting during breakdowns

Other Information

The role has a great variety of work, maintaining an plastic processing plant, maintenance of the process lines

Make sure that you have thoroughly thought through your travel arrangements to both work and college. this position is based in Newport Pagnell, but you will be required to attend Bedford College as part of this apprenticeship programme.
This position will require you to start college in January.
