Brief Description
Working across Defense, Aerospace and Telecoms Industry, Alroy Microwave, is a family ran business, spanning over 52 Years, we are looking for an Apprentice Mechanical Technician to join our team.
Qualifications Required
Four GCSEs at grades A*-C or 9-4 including English, Maths and science or a technical subject such as engineering or product design.
Personal Qualities
Good attitude, wanting to do as well as possible. Learn as much as possible, and grasp an opportunity if it presents itself.
Skills Required
Good hand to eye co-ordination and hand skill
Enjoy problem solving
Pursuit of perfection
Be able to take instructions and lean in a fast paced environment
Training to be Provided

Vacancy Detail
Alroy Microwave is a family ran business, spanning over 52 Years. We are looking for an Apprentice Mechanical Technician to join our team. We are a manufacturer of mechanical products using base materials mainly Aluminium, Copper and Brass. We are involved in the manufacturing of Microwave and RF products for the Defence, Aeropspace and Telecoms industry. We have our own machine shop and also technicians on the bench manufacturing products using a variety of methods and hand tools. We are looking for 2 apprentices who we want to put through college and potentially other courses dependent on ability.
The successful applicant will be taught all aspects of the job by a dedicated instructor. There are 4 main areas to the business:
- Bench fitter technician
- RF tester
- Solidworks CAD software operator
- Operating manual and CNC machines
If the successful applicant has the ability and the correct work ethic they will be given an opportunity to learn all aspects of the Business if they want too. This could also mean being given the opportunity to do further courses at College.
Other Information
The majority of the work is indoors unless working away.
